brindleyMeet Dr. Brindley
Mace L. Brindley has been in practice with Waco Ear, Nose and Throat since 1978. After undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin, he graduated summa cum laude from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston in 1973. While at UTMB he was also awarded the AOA designation for academic excellence, as well as being a finalist for the Gold Headed Cane Award. He completed two years of general surgery residency at the University of Utah, followed by an Ear Nose and Throat Residency at University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. Dr. Brindley is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Brindley is a past President of the Hillcrest Hospital Medical Staff where he also served on multiple advisory boards. He has 3 grown children, including a son who is also an Ear Nose and Throat specialist in Plano, Texas. He is an avid golfer and served on the board of the Texas Golf Association for over 20 years.

tandyMeet Dr. Tandy
James R. Tandy has been in practice with Waco ENT since 1995. After living in various parts of the country in his youth, he settled in north Houston where he attended Klein High School. Dr. Tandy graduated with honors from Baylor University in 1984 with a BS in Biology and was honored with election into the Baylor chapter of Phi Beta Kappa. He subsequently attended medical school at University of Texas-Southwestern Medical School and was inducted into the medical honor society of Alpha Omega Alpha. Following medical school Dr. Tandy remained at UT Southwestern where he completed his general surgery internship and subsequent Otolaryngology residency. He is Board-Certified and a Diplomat of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Tandy is on faculty at Baylor University where he teaches Human Physiology and is actively involved with Baylor’s pre-healthcare program. He is an ordained PCA Elder with Redeemer Presbyterian Church. He and his wife Norma have four children ranging in age from 10 to 17.

hollandMeet Dr. Holland
Bradford W. Holland, MD FACS, has been with Waco Ear, Nose, & Throat since 2002. A native Coloradoan, he graduated from the University of Colorado on a full Boettcher Scholarship with Double Majors in Biochemistry and Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology. He was Phi Beta Kappa at CU-Boulder. He Graduated from the University of Texas-Southwestern Medical School, and was in the academic honorary order of Alpha Omega Alpha. Dr. Holland completed a General Surgery Internship at Bowman Gray School of Medicine, and Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery Residency at Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. During this time, Dr. Holland authored many research papers, and was awarded the Outstanding Resident Teaching Award by the School. He has been granted Fellow status in the American College of Surgeons, and is Board-Certified and a Diplomat of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery. Dr. Holland serves on the Board of Directors of the Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce, President of the McLennan County Republican Club, and is Chair of the Medical Advisory Committee and Board Member of the local American Cancer Society. He enjoys spending time with his wife and kids in their many activities, upland bird-hunting, winter sports & photography.

bakerMeet Our Physician’s Assistant, Ashley Baker
Ashley Baker, PA-C received her undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University before heading to UT Southwestern Medical Center . She has been a dedicated part of the Waco ENT team since 2008. Ashley has been seeing patients in the Central Texas area for over twelve years, has three daughters and was born and grew up in Waco.

butlerMeet Our Audiologist, Lauren Butler
Born and raised in Texas, Lauren Butler received her undergraduate degree from Baylor University in 2005 and her Doctor of Audiology degree from the University of Texas at Dallas in May 2009. During her time at UTD, Lauren traveled on two humanitarian audiology trips to Panama in order to provide services to underserved populations with hearing impairment as well as educate local healthcare professionals about audiology and hearing loss intervention. Lauren began working at Waco ENT in June of 2009. She enjoys working with patients of all ages and especially looks forward to educating patients and their families about hearing and hearing loss. In her free time, Lauren enjoys boating and traveling with family and friends or playing with her dog, Sadie.

stirlandMeet Our Audiologist, Spencer Stirland
Spencer Wm. Stirland is originally from Salt Lake City, Utah. He obtained his undergraduate degree from Utah State University in Logan, Utah. Following this, he transferred to Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center where he received a Doctor of Audiology degree. As a student at Texas Tech he and his family grew to love Texas and its people. Spencer is excited about being part of Waco ENT as an Audiologist team member. He is thrilled at the opportunity he has to provide hearing services to patients in Waco and the surrounding areas. In his free time, Spencer loves to be outdoors with his wife and two children, biking, hiking, or swimming.

carterMeet Our Speech Pathologist, Angela Carter
Angela Nix Carter (Angie) is a native Wacoan and has practiced speech-language pathology in central Texas for almost 29 years. During that time, she has had a close relationship with Waco ENT while serving as supervisor of speech pathology for the former Central Texas Rehabilitation Center and Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center. Last year, she joined the practice to provide specialized services to this patient population. Through her affiliation at Baylor as a guest lecturer and clinical supervisor, she oversees clinical practicum experiences for the students in the students in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She received her undergraduate degree and graduate degrees from Baylor where her husband is employed as an administrator. They have two daughters, one already graduated from Baylor and another who is currently enrolled. Time away from practicing speech pathology usually involves family, community service, and Baylor sporting events.
